We had a successful day of racing at the MORE New Years 200 in Barstow. We started 4th and settled into our groove right away. Shawn Barbetta piloted the entire race and attacked the rough terrain with ease. At the start of lap 2 we had moved up to 2nd place, right behind our teammate Kelly Boyle from Motion Tire Motorsports. Unfortantly the terrain had caused a power steering line to leak. Shawn drove 2 miles with no power steering to a remote pit for an easy fix. The Motion Tire boys took care us and we were off to capture the lost positions. The remaining laps were uneventful and we ended the day in 2nd place behind our teammate. A great way to start a long racing season.

Were back after taking a year off, we have joined forces with Shawn Barbetta who plans to pilot his new class 1 Jimco race car. Shawn is no stranger to desert racing he has been racing for over eight years. He started racing in Baja in a class 5 unlimited buggy, then went on to race a class 12 car. He has since acquired a class 1 Jimco and with the support of Fibercare Baths and Motion Tire Motorsports will race the entire 2012 MORE series and a few select races.
